I only bought this because I wanted something to hit and kill some of those carpenter bees swarming outside my house in the summer. Well let me tell you, this thing totally kicks ass at swatting bees! It's VERY lightweight but the handle is strong enough to handle my full-force swings. When the bees are hovering, you take a swing and "PING!" They go flying! Most of the time, their heads pop off when you hit them hard, so you don't even have to worry about finding them in the grass to stomp on them. I started making notches in the handle to keep track of my kills. Well I got about 50 notches in it and the strings are still good as new. They are made of a high quality nylon and you can easily wash off bee guts with a water hose.
