I was initially hesitant to buy non-Panasonic batteries because I've been burned by generic batteries before - not fitting the equipment exactly, not charging completely, etc. but Panasonic doesn't yet offer extra batteries for this camera and for the price/value (two batteries *and* a charger for only a little more than a single battery), I decided to give it a chance.The Wasabi batteries were exactly the same as my Panasonic battery. My Panasonic battery fit/charged with no issues in the Wasabi charger; and, the Wasabi batteries fit/charged with no issues in my Panasonic charger. It was great to have back-up batteries for during our trip. I have not used the car charger or the included plug adapter so I cannot speak to those elements. For only a buck or two more, you get TWO batteries and a charger with a car adapter, instead of just a single OEM battery. I was slightly worried about the new ID-secured battery nonsense preventing the use of 3rd party batteries, but apparently these have proper mechanisms in them to work just like the OEM batteries. I doubt the capacity rating is real. They might be able to get that number if they overcharge it to 4.3V and then drain it to 0V, but then the battery wouldn't be useful after that because LiIon batteries are permanently damaged by over-discharging. Either way, I don't think they're any worse than the OEM batteries, and they're like half the price, so I'll overlook the number game. As for the charger, I probably won't use it because it doesn't hook up to the Thermistor (T terminal) to detect over-temperature conditions. Still, if I'm...
