    Product Description

You are no a fencer with some experience and you do a lunge in nylon kickers with suspenders. You don't feel them. They are form-fitting and giving. You feel the lunge. You've come to feel the drag of the occasional catch of the cotton knickers and are aware that in epee or foil the trailing folds of the fabric can become target. Freed from the distraction of clothing, the mind becomes more focused and the body is channeled by the nylon into a wonderful feeling of sleekness. Nylon clings close, strengthens and keeps things in line and out of the way of your fencing: A wide band of it from rib cage to waist, like a giant cummerbund, protects the flank and cinches adjustably on a large Velcro patch; a sturdy nylon zipper in front and a stretchy pocket in back; doubly-ply legs (again, forget sweats or jeans - they are usage for legs and flanks); and elastic cuffs that snug in long socks and complete an unbroken line of sleep feeling and security. Suspenders not only do what every fireman knows but transfer the cling and sense of contained power up through the top of the body.

Men's Left Handed stretch fencing underarm protector

      Product Description

This nylon underarm protector is a significant advance over the usual design. Instead of the normal two plies of unbreathing fabric held close against heat and sweat, this stretch fabric has a very form-fitting design and comfortable feel. It is held close by a standard single strap around the rib cage and features a Velcro, micro-adjustable collar strap for perfect seating. The deluxe is still supple and fits under a nylon jacket without a ruffle.

      • Protective and comfortable
      • Left-handed specific with adjustable colar
      • Conforms to all regulations; can be used in any U.S. competition

Women's Right Handed Nylon underarm protector, absorbent lining

      Product Description

This nylon underarm protector is a significant advance over the usual design. Instead of the normal two plies of unbreathing fabric held close against heat and sweat, this nylon has a terry cloth liner to absorb moisture and let heat trickle out. It is held close by a standard single strap around the rib cage and features a Velcro, micro-adjustable collar strap for perfect seating. Even with slender addition of the terry cloth liner, the deluxe is still supple and fits under a nylon jacket without a ruffle.

great fit, thick protection without being heavy, a little stretchy, strap holds well without slipping, doesn't impede motion in any way, very happy with it.

Imagine owning all the national anthems of the world on eight CDs! Can't imagine it? Well, there must be an audience for this collection - libraries, governmental and other organizations that greet visiting dignitaries, schools, whoever. There was an earlier edition of this collection in 1998 but since that time there have been many geopolitical changes that necessitated a new collection with the addition of the national anthems of, among others, Russia (!), Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Iraq (maybe they'll be getting a new one now), Rwanda, Qatar, Somalia and Afghanistan.

The anthems (or national hymns) are played in arrangements made by conductor Peter Breiner, who leads the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra in perfectly acceptable performances. In many instances there are two recordings of a national anthem -- the full anthem, and a shortened version for playing at awards ceremonies at the Olympics and other international competitions.

          Obviously eight... Read more

          3.0 out of 5 stars A Disappointment, December 26, 2006
This review is from: Complete National Anthems of the World (Box) (Audio CD)
I just received the Complete National Anthems of the World and have listened to every one of them. I enjoy the anthems and the presentation. But I was disappointed that the anthems didn't include the singing. Without the singing, the musical pieces lose their contexts. It is interesting to observe that, with relatively few exceptions, although most people are proud of their national anthems, they are loathe to listen to and enjoy them. The producers of this collection missed a great opportunity to turn the national song into a genuine musical masterpiece by not including the sung lyrics.
