This stand is very lightweight, but is of good quality and holds all sizes of bike just fine. Great value for the price. The only downside is that the stand tends to move a bit when the bike is pushed into it. If you have more $$$ to spend, I would recommend a stand made of heavier material that won't move as easily. I was truly surprised that the upright supports make contact with the disk brakes, rear derailleur and gear cluster on our 26" and 29er mountain bikes. Good bike stand designs are elevated off of the floor allowing the tire to sit lower in the stand and the upright triangles flatter to provide clearance so fragile bike parts are not contacted. |
