Kids, whatever you do, don't buy these thinking they'll be good enough to airsoft with. First of all, the metal mesh is not very strong at all. A BB from 50 feet away put a huge dent in the front, so I can't imagine what 10 feet away would do. Second, the plastic piece that holds the strap to the mask broke the 2nd day I was using it. If this had happened during a game, I would have straight up returned the item. Luckily it happened in between games, but still, that is a huge design flaw. If you want value your eyesight at all, you won't buy metal mesh goggles. The danger comes from BB's that hit the mesh and shatter through the holes in the mesh.Secondly, it cuts your visibility by 50%, and that's in full daylight. You'd think you'd be able to see through it okay, but you just can't. Don't even think about using these at dusk; you won't be able to see anything. I bought these because I was sick of fogging up, but it turns out that doing research on methods of fog-proofing... I own and have tested this, I took a CO2 pistol and shot the mesh at point blank range, the bb was deflected and the mesh held up, it left a small dent in the mesh. However it is good safety to wear a pair of eyeglasses or shooting glasses under the mask, its a lot better then non-mesh masks that fog up in hot weather. 5 of 6 people found the following review helpful  Great Mask, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Full Face Mask Goggle Guard Safety for Airsoft Goggles (Misc.) Great mask. Made of pretty durable material, and the mesh visor seems to hold up pretty nicely. Id definitely recommend this to anyone. The only reason i gave it a 4/5 is because i kinda have a bigger (fatter haha) face, so the mask only covers about 90% of my cheeks. Mouth, nose, chin, and some of my jaw are well covered. |
