This Schecter Hellraiser C-1 Custom guitar is outfitted with some of the finest components and detailed craftsmanship avaialble in Schecter's current line. It's a stunning loking instrument featuring a Vampyre Red stained quilted maple top, and a Gothic Cross inlay pattern on the fretboard. Beyond it's good looks, this guitar is outfitted with exceptional hardware and electronics as well. It comes with active EMG humbucker pickups for high output and cutting modern tone. The controls include a separate volume for each pickup, a master tone pot, and a 3-way switch. The hardware is all black chrome and includes Schecter's locking tuners, a TonePros locking bridge and string-through body construction.

Received it a few days ago, shipping and packaging were good, all from the factory. The guitar itself is BEAUTIFUL! I really like the satin finish on this compared to the high gloss of the regular Hellraiser C-1, but that is just personal preference. The guitar is great, fit finish are perfect, and it feels awesome in your hands. BUT, that is when I noticed that my volume knobs would not push/pull. I thought that they may just be stuck, but they should move pretty easily. I searched the internet and could not find one bit of information on this particular model ('Hellraiser Custom' in Vampyre Red exclusive to Amazon). The closest you will find is for the Hellraiser C-1, and it is listed as having push/pull knobs. I emailed Schecter and a couple days later I received a response which stated that the description on Amazon is incorrect and that this model from Amazon does NOT have the push/pull knobs to change the... It doesn't have the shiny paint job, instead its the"satin" sort of paint job. I happen to like it. I just got this thing and I'm happy! Now I have a Mexican Fender Strat with a tremolo and another guitar with EMG pickups without the thin annoying neck! I know some folks that really appreciate a thin neck, and I'm not one of those. Schecter guitars had a thicker neck but not so thick as a Fender Strat, but rather C shaped. Its great for me cause I suffer from a sore wrist with a thin neck. This guitar has locking tuners. A neck that is just thick enough but not thin either. not as thick as a Les Paul Gibson. You would have to see it to appreciate it I guess. Well I got a good deal. Thanks Amazon. |
