i bought this for summer practice when I wanted to throw around by myself instead of using a wall. Sad to say that this product is more of a hindrance than an aid. the cord always gets caught on the sidewall strings whenever you try to throw the ball causing it to swing around uncontrollably. I also watched to videos from the website but no matter what I do the cord is the one thing ruining my practice. Save your money and find a wall instead.

Sick of having to walk two blocks to the nearest handball court for wall ball. I bought this product in order to keep my stick skills in shape while I wait for the next lacrosse opportunity. I came in the mail very quickly, and I tried it out right away. It took a few minutes to get the hang of it and it became knotted after using it for a while. Overall, it is something I will continue to use, The best way to use it is to bounce it off a hard surface about 5 yards away...and make sure you have quick reflexes, and you might want to have your cup and helmet on! Probably a good training device for goalies, since the rebound is unpredicable!

5.0 out of 5 stars B-Lax Trainer review - near perfect, August 10, 2011
This review is from: B-Lax Blast Lacrosse Training Aid (Misc.)
Bought direct of the manufacturer's site and threw it on the stick this morning. Can't imagine how anyone could find much fault with this unless your throwing motion is a mess (that said, using this to perfect the basics of the 4-foot bounce pass and catch should remedy this). There was virtually no learning curve on this and I was rifling this ball around immediately. I've played a fair bit of lacrosse, but it's still pretty simple. My 6 year old had the bounce and catch on the first try, and he's about at a 50% catch rate. When his throwing motion is correct, he's closer to 100%. Again, this is a primary benefit of the tool in the first place. Not sure if it was designed intentionally to do this, but it basically makes you throw properly (through the strings, not sidearm) at first before you can jump up to some of the advanced stuff. For anyone that's played a decent amount of lacrosse, the "advanced" stuff is pretty easy right out of the gates. Would (and already have)... Read more
