| 8 of 8 people found the following review helpful:  quite pleased, This review is from: Power Acoutik OV2-1200 Gothic Series 1200 Watt 2-Channel Amplifier (Electronics) I have bought many of the higher priced name brands, everything from kicker to jl. but the one problem that I had with these are they are so expensive that I couldnt afford the 1200 watt amp that these companies made(sometimes being more then 1200 dollars.) so I always had to get the 500 watt 400 dollar amp. but I kept blowing them and couldnt turn them up without distortion due to the much lower watts. well finally after blowing my other amp recently, I decided to go with a cheap temporary replacement until I could afford something better. The problems I have had with the cheaper amps is that they take alot of power and they clip, overheat and cutt off at high volumes. but I havent had that problem yet with this amp, I am pushing 2 phoenix gold subs with a max power of 1600 watts combined. and I love it, now the sound quality is a little lower then normal but most people will not even be able to tell, and its not even a big enough difference to bother me. so if you want some... Read more 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful:  boom booom clap, By This review is from: Power Acoutik OV2-1200 Gothic Series 1200 Watt 2-Channel Amplifier (Electronics) great amp. i have it connected to my two 12" kickers comp vr's. even though my speakers are four ohms and the amp works best with two ohm speakers, it stills puts a thump in your trunk and you can hear it from a block away. looks slick with the blue light and stays cool. i would highly recomend it to anyone shoping for amps. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: good amp for the price paid, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Power Acoutik OV2-1200 Gothic Series 1200 Watt 2-Channel Amplifier (Electronics) well let's just start by saying that this amp kicks the subwoofers like tyson , it deliver a clean bass all the way down to 30 hz. it's not a 1200 watts rms amp like it says on the box maybe 200 watts rms and on bridge 350 rms mono . wich is a good delivery for any amp .it does not get very hot and until now, one month of use has never reset or failed to me . i hope this review help you |
