I have the same problem some of reviewer had when they turn on the home office systems all at the same time, that is, most UPS will shut down, when you have a very powerful computer, big monitor, an all in one laser MFC plus a laser printer. Or when you wake up a laser MFC or a laser Printer, the UPS shuts down, because the equipment needs that extra juice to warm up. None of other UPS that I purchase before can handle the power needs, unless you pay over $1,000 for UPS. That is the main reason I purchase this product. I did not think about the NEMA 5-20R until I got the unit. I took a look at the plug and realized that I do not have an outlet to plug it into. For those of you that do not understand NEMA 5-20R Receptacle. It means that you need a 20 AMP outlet that looks like the second picture from the left. If you do not have an outlet that looks like that. You need to call an electrician to install a 20 AMP... I'm running a full size tower with 1000 Watt PSU, 20" LCD and All-in-One Inkjet so needed something that wasn't going to overload the second that power went out or the printer ran a page. This fit the bill very nicely and as mych as I would have liked to have gone with something with twice the capacity, I couldn't bring myself to spend $1000+ so this made a perfect choice for my needs. It works beautifully and matches all the other black components I use in my home office. 4 of 5 people found the following review helpful: Nice Product, By This review is from: Cyberpower PP2200SW UPS - 2200VA/1500W PureSine AVR Boost/Buck 8-Outlet RJ11/RJ45 Tower EMI/RFI USB (Electronics) I've tried other UPS but never had good luck with them. I decided to try the Cyberpower PP2200SW, and haven't been let down yet. I did contact Tech Support with a question, however, it was not regarding a problem with the unit. I was hoping that it would have a switching relay, such as my Monster surge strip does, that kills power once the controller outlet powers off. They told me it didn't have that capability, nor did they offer a add-on product with such a capability. By the way, the Tech Support guy was very professional and pleasant to deal with. I suppose that is the only down side I've run into with this unit. I miss not having to shut-off my monitors manually when my tower falls asleep or is shutdown. Nothing worth docking a star over though...by no means. I suppose one last thing that is a bummer is the cost of shipping this. The thing weighs 68 lbs I believe it was. Luckily Amazon had a deal going for 3 days where they picked up the... Read more |
