The black finish, cutaway, and mother of pearl rosette/details are sleek but not flashy. I'm used to playing a steel-string guitar, so when I picked up this model, I was surprised by the thinner neck. I always liked the sound of a nylon string guitar, but my smaller hands didn't like playing on the traditional "classical" guitar. This is the first guitar that I have tried that has been a compromise between the two and I couldn't be happier. I was also impressed when I found out that this is a hand-made guitar. I'm a student and this was a little bit out of my price range, but I figured it would be a good investment considering it has a really high quality build and sweet electronics built in. I wanted a guitar with nylon strings, but with a thinner neck profile than the traditional classical guitar. In addition to the Cordoba Fusion series, I'd looked at the Lag Tramontane and Ibanez AEG series guitars.I liked the looks of the Córdoba Fusion series and had done some intensive researching online for reviews from other owners. Overall, there were many positive online reviews and I found an independent Córdoba dealer at About Music in nearby Indianapolis. I'd talked with the shop owner about this guitar and he said he would gladly order it in for me to try out and wouldn't have a problem if it did not end up being the guitar for me.
