Body looks to be 4 piece. I have to look hard for the seams. More-so I can tell by the interruption in the grain pattern. Weight is about average. Maybe on the heavy side. It's not a light one. Color is nice and the grain shows through just right. Neck is a modern C like most-all imports. Vintage style split post tuners look great and work well. The fret work is excellent! Frets ends have been finished. Not like a lot of imports. Setup needs a tweak or 2. But its playable out of the box. Nut is cut correctly so I won't have to work that. Pots are righty wired lefty. I was recommended this guitar by my teacher who also owns one that he carts around for teaching lessons. He said that they are a great find because it's about the best "cheap" guitar you can buy. It has all of the craftsmanship of the Standard (MIM) Teles for about $150 less. This is not in the same class as other Squier lines like the Affinity (which is about $170-$190). This is a real instrument that can match up with much more expensive Fender versions. Being a lefty, it's hard to find a wide selection of instruments let alone a selection of quality guitars that are... Read more |
