Note: it was professionally installed. The volume control did not work adequately. When shut all of the way off, you still heard music. Turning up the volume, you nearly maxed output through the speakers. The bluetooth functionality did not work well either. There was constant static. In addition, when you tried to stream music, there was a constant hum on low volume. Subsequently, I returned this item and purchased another brand completely (Soundstorm - no issues with this unit with one exception - while using bluetooth, the receiver on the phone hears some static). it was 99 bucks.. can't complain, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Planet Audio P9715B 5-Inch Single-Din In-Dash Receiver with Motorized Slide-Down Widescreen Touchscreen Monitor (Electronics) Used it for about a week and then it started ejecting dvd's randomely, it gets to about 20 degrees here in indianapolis, and whenever its that cold and it starts up it makes really obnoxious grinding noises. bluetooth has feedback noise in the background. it does not have RDS.. box says it does but i called planet audio and they couldnt do anything fo rme. customer service is really bad, screen goes in and out as you move the faceplate. GUI is alright but could use some improvements. i would definitely recommend using an external amp for this unit. it sounds terrible with the internal amp. just.. horrid. sounds like dying animals in every corner of my car. i cant emphasis on how bad the audio quality is with this thing. it does play dvd's... and the bluetooth audio streaming would only work if i turned the bluetooth off on the phone and back on again everytime i restarted the unit. i put my cheap sony bluetooth receiver back in.. it works great.. sounds great.. i can 't...
