The Dean Vendetta Series
With four models to choose from, the Vendettas have string-through-body design, classic Dean V Ferrule pattern, dual Humbuckers, a 25.5-inch scale, and solid mahogany bodies with a maple neck. The Vendetta 1.0 and 2.0 are bolt-on models with black hardware. The 2.0 model features a solid flame maple top. The Vendetta 3.0 and 4.0 sport neck-through construction with the Pearl Evil Eye inlay running the length of the fretboard. The 4.0 version has a beautiful quilted maple top and is available in an all too popular "Tiger Eye" finish.
Mahogany Body
As with most of their instruments, Dean uses a mahogany body for the Vendettas. Mahogany is a common choice for electrics, dependably delivering a warm, full tone with plenty of punch and sustain.
Bolt-On Construction
Bolt-on neck construction provides an affordable alternative to set-neck or thru-body designs. The advantage of this design is that if you do have any neck trouble down the line, you can easily replace it.
The Vendetta 1.0's maple neck features an ultra-playable 24-fret rosewood fingerboard, with classic dot inlays.
Dean Humbucker Pickups
These pickups should provide more than enough bite for modern styles, along with plenty of low-end and midrange definition. The standard three-way selector allows bridge, neck, or a combination. Each pickup gets a volume pot, and they share the tone control.
Dean Diecast Tuners
Dean's sealed diecast tuners offer solid tuning and mechanics, for a long lifetime of dependable performance.
Tune-o-Matic Bridge
A Tune-o-Matic bridge with string-thru body design provides even more sustain, along with precise intonation for your tuning preference. The classic v-shaped ferrule pattern adds some nice vintage Dean style.

Dean Vendetta 1.0 Electric Guitar, Gloss Natural Reviews
4 of 4 people found the following review helpful Let me just say YEAH!!, This review is from: Dean Vendetta 1.0 Electric Guitar, Gloss Natural (Electronics) I had this guitar a little while ago and it's just great! I really enjoyed playing it and here's why!1. The action is great! 2. Everyone buys the Vendetta Xm because of the price but the finish is great on this one 3. The neck is nice and thin for people with short hands so you can play it with ease. 4. I played the Schecter's and for the price this is just as good as they are unless you want active pickups and is a little heaver than the Schecter's. 5. Distorted and not it sounds great! 6. Try and find another guitar for $219 that is as good, from Fender Ibanez or others, you won't. 7. The solid wood body sustains much better than plastic bodies of other guitars for the price. 8. Trust me, for the price you won't find a better made, better sounding, and more comfortable guitar, don't waste your money on others. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful A fine instrument of rock/metal, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Dean Vendetta 1.0 Electric Guitar, Gloss Natural (Electronics) This is my first Dean product, I gravitated toward this axe from the recommendation of a buddy and of course because Dime and Mustaine endorsing their products. I own a bunch of other guitars, an epi LP and a Shecter Damien 6 FR among others, nothing really extravagant.I really like this guitar. I was skeptical about it at first with its lower pricetag. I never got my hands on a vendetta 2-4 so it would be nice to compare it to them, but this axe feels good in my hands. The finish is the most striking feature, gloss with a gorgeous reddish brown wood finish. The setup was satifactory for me, the action out of the box almost as good as my shecter's, which is fairly low. Didn't notice any buzzing, was very happy with that, didn't have to mess with anything too much. The neck is reasonably fast, it is a decent guitar for shredding, 24 frets always a plus. Sustain is decent, I am sure the string through body helping that aspect out. The only drawback for me was the... Can't beat the price and nice sound. I just did not like that the neck (behind) is not finished (polished), so I may have to do it myself because sending it out would defeat the purpose of the purchase price. Other than that, nice guitar for the price. |
