Have had the amigo for some time now, and it is as good as a conversation piece, to hang on the wall, or torture my friends as a joke when we're bored.
I bought this with high hopes after reading a few reviews. I bought a Washburn Rover at the same time and have Amazon reviewed that too.

Pros:
It looks great for a small, travel guitar. The tear-drop design is a winner to hold as well.
The Amigo has remarkable volume (for its size) compared to Washburn Rover.

Cons:
The sound is horrible. Now in fairness, maybe it is my one or the batch (28 June 2007), but the neck is out, it never stays in tune, and the wood it is made from is cheap and nasty. The fret board I doubt is rosewood and looks like its been painted the same colour, except for where it has chipped away.
The strings it came with were horrible, and going off another review I replaced them with classical nylon strings, but this hasn't made it any better to play or hear... Read more
