Product Description
Glycolic Acid has long been a first line product of the finest spas and Dermatology offices for improving the skin. For those of you who have heard the term "Lunch Time Peel", this is the chemical used for it, and it is used by Hollywood's most famous faces and the Rodeo Drive clientele who can afford the best that money can buy. Now you can do these peels at home safely and with fantastic results After peeling your skin will be feel softer, look smoother, with improved texture and tone and reduced hyperpigmentation (sun damage). With a peel of this strength, a full course of peels (8-10 peels) are needed to see optimal results. This is a 1 fl oz (30 ml) of peel solution. Glycolic Acid is a naturally occurring chemical belonging to the Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) family. Derived from sugar cane, this important AHA is the smallest of the fruit acids and is able to penetrate the skin, allowing it to effectively dissolve the "glue" that holds dead cells on the surface of the skin. The dead skin cells are what cause a dull, uneven skin tone, and the blocking of pores leading to blackheads and acne. This dissolving action of the Glycolic Acid allows the dead cells to slough off, leaving behind a smoother skin surface with clear pores. This also helps stimulate collagen formation under the skins surface which helps plump up the skin from beneath, smoothing out fine surface wrinkles and superficial scars. Our 40% Glycolic Peel is a mild glycolic acid peel and is suitable for all skin types and both beginning and experienced peelers. There may be some redness right after the peel, but generally there is not much if any actual peeling (hence the name Lunch Time Peel, you can go right back to work after you have it done). The 40% Glycolic peel is very safe when used as directed, but is a strong, professional strength peel (pH 1.5) and should be used only as directed. As with all products, a patch test is recommended to see how your skin reacts to the peel
- Helps smooth out fine lines and wrinkles
- Evens out skin tone and texture to give a more beautiful complexion
- Increases cell turnover to reduce Acne outbreaks
- Significant savings over professional treatments
- Easy to follow instructions and free microdermabrasion crystals are included

(New York, NY) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: 40% Glycolic Acid Peel for Acne, Scars, Age Spots & Lines (Misc.) This product improved the appearance of my skin by reducing acne scars and hyperpigmentation after just one use but my gosh is this stuff strong! I have been using another brand's 25% strength peel for a year and yet this brand's 40% was incredibly intense in comparison! My entire face peeled for five days post peel and immediately after using the peel I experienced much more than " slight redness". My skin had the texture of an aligator and was extremely red and felt as if it was burning off. So, be prepared for that if you use this product. I am planning to use it again as the results were so great but am a bit frightened to due to the extreme peeling. Overall, I recommend it but with a word of caution as this peel can be traumatizing if you expect " slight redness" and end up with a red alligator face! 36 of 36 people found the following review helpful: WONDERFUL product, not for the beginner!, By Cutest Chicken Farmer "Susan" (Newark, DE United States) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: 40% Glycolic Acid Peel for Acne, Scars, Age Spots & Lines (Misc.) After having spent $150 a pop for glycolic peels at a doctor's office, I decided to try this out at home. Two weeks prior to my office peels, the aesthetician instructed me to use a glycolic face wash and use glycolic cream (Jan Marini brand, the best!) for two weeks prior in order to get my skin prepped and used to the lower level of glycolic acid. I use Jan Marini products religiously (the face wash has 12% glycolic acid), so I felt I was good and ready to give this a whirl at home. I left it on for only 3 minutes, and when I splashed my face off with the sinkful of water & baking soda (FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!!), I could feel that this was a deeper peel than I had received at the doctors'. I put on some moisturizer and still felt a little 'sunburnt'. The next day, I could see that my skin looked better, but was tight and dry. More moisturizer and 30 SPF sunscreen (a MUST, especially right after a peel). Will do a series of peels once my face feels back to normal, and then get... I am new to chemical peels, and I first want to say that is product is great and certainly worth the price. If you know exactly what you are doing, you can benefit in several ways from this product. After my second peel with the product, I noticed my skin was firmer, smoother, more even colored, and it has **significantly reduced the acne on my face.** This product is very strong, so be careful. I wipe my skin with alcohol to srip away all oils, wait 2-3 minutes, and thinly apply the Glycolic acid to first face and whatever is left on the cotton pad to my neck. I started out at 3 minutes, and have increased the time 20 seconds with each consecutive peel. Be aware that the product will cause medium discomfort, but that only means it's working! I apply a solution of baking soda and water to my face once the time is up. This will cause increased discomfort for about another 30 seconds, but once the acid is neutralized with the base, all the pain from the peel stops... Read more |

That's right, my dermatologist suggested me this Glycolic Acid for skin care usage but it's also true that when I had acne problems he suggested me to use a skin resurfacing Toronto laser called fraxel....I needed immediate results because my wedding day was approaching and my face looked like a Christmas tree....full of those red round things:))
ReplyDeleteHis suggestion really helped me achieve the look any bride wants, a perfect one:)
