Traveler Guitar Escape MK-II Acoustic-Electric Travel Guitar (Nylon String, Deluxe Gig Bag) Reviews

I was surprised at how good the neck feels. The strings sound nice just acoustically and the guitar sounds like a typical nylon string acoustic-electric through the piezo pickups and pre-amp.This is definitely one of the better made travel guitars and doesn't feel like a toy at all. Very good for the price. You could get a better travel guitar like the ones with detachable necks but they are much more expensive. This is great value for money considering the price tag. And it is light, stays in tune well, and has the right string height (which is adjustable). 1 of 2 people found the following review helpful: Very impressive for a travel guitar, By The Iguana "The Iguana" (LA, CA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Traveler Guitar Escape MK-II Acoustic-Electric Travel Guitar (Nylon String, Deluxe Gig Bag) (Electronics) This is my third guitar. I also have a full-sized nylon string acoustic and a Fender Squire Strat. Of my three guitars, this is the one I reach for most often these days. I play it through a Roland Micro Cube amp and it sounds great. The tone is clean and crisp. Out of the bag, the action is a bit high down the neck, but I'll have this adjusted for my playing style. I haven't tried to change strings yet and have heard it can be a bit tricky with this guitar, but I'll cross that bridge when I need to. I'm not too worried about it, and the extra flexibility this guitar gives me is worth a tiny bit of hassle. I'm learning finger-style playing and this guitar does everything I could hope. It's just fun to play. It's also quite a conversation piece. Everyone is curious about it. The extra attention is fun. |
