It is thick and creamy, and a little goes a long way. It worked stupendously well on his thickened scaly skin . It didn't take many applications before the scales were whittled down to nothing. Continued applications have helped his skin to stay "normal". Since he had surgery on his back and couldn't apply the cream to his own legs, I had to do it. This offered the added blessing of making my hands look better than they had in years. I like the fact that it has no scent, is hypoallergenic and really works. No watered down lotion here! I've been using this creme for about two decades now, and hope it never goes out of production until a permanent cure is found. One great thing about this type of Eucerin is that it isn't oily at all. After application, depending on how liberally it is applied (and not much is needed), there can be a slight bit of a lubricated feel, but not slippery like suntan oil at all, which I would hate. If you rub it in thoroughly, and use just enough to cover the area, it returns the skin to how it should feel, without being chapped, flaky and parched, which for me is after every wash.
