Nowhere in the previews I read did it say that we wouldn't get the updated My Player mode that PS3 and Xbox 360 got. However, when I started playing the game, I noticed that not only was the My Player mode the EXACT same as last year, but they had eliminated online play/roster updates entirely. I wouldn't have purchased the game if I'd have known it was missing these features. Basically what Wii owners got is the same game we got last year, with a roster from June 2011, some old school teams, and no online features. I just wanted to put this out there so that people that were expecting certain features wouldn't be disappointed. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you?  Report abuse | Permalink   Comments (2) 7 of 7 people found the following review helpful: this game stinks on wii, October 13, 2011 By  Polarbear - See all my reviews = Fun:  This review is from: NBA 2K12 (Covers May Vary) (Video Game) I am a big fan of the NBA 2k series and i have bought many of the games. when this game came out, i instantly ran to the store because i had heard how good it was. i got it for the wii and starting playing, i then realized on thing: this is exactly the same as 2k11. the only difference between the 2k11 wii and the 2k12 wii is the soundtrackack and the menus. the my player mode is worse, because they dont have online play, the graphics are worse, and everything else is exactly the same. if you want a good basketball game, just get 2k11. If you own 2011, skip this update. In addition, the Wii version has less to it than the Xbox 360 or PS3 version, so if you or the person you are buying it for has multiple systems, you are better off getting it on the XBox or PS3 than on the Wii.
